Soaring fuel prices are not enough for the globalists. Officials in the Biden administration tell us they must go even higher for the sake of the “liberal world order.” Many of the “green” provisions of the recently signed “Inflation Reduction Act of 2022” will do just that; they will increase energy prices via higher taxes on drilling for oil and on gas production.
The elite powerbrokers of our day want to drastically reduce our dependency on fossil fuels as quickly as possible regardless of the resulting human suffering and pain.
Climatologist and late research professor of environmental sciences at the University of Virginia, Dr. Pat Michaels, stated that eliminating all fossil fuels would reduce the average earth temperature by .14 degrees Celsius. “That’s a very small change for putting humanity back in the Stone Age.”[i] He understood the disastrous and deadly impact of the Marxist agenda behind those leading the charge to eliminate our dependence on what we mistakenly refer to as “fossil fuels.”
Gas, diesel fuel, natural gas, and coal currently make life possible on our planet with its large population. Apart from these commodities, hundreds of millions, if not billions, would starve to death from a lack of food and many others would perish from an inability to heat or cool their homes. They are the lifeblood of modern life; without them our world would very much resemble a stone age type of existence.
Climate alarmists mislabel these life-preserving sources of energy as “fossil fuels.” As we saw in a previous post, the Lord has graciously provided them in order to support the large world population that we have today. It’s totally impossible that such gigantic reserves of these commodities could have come from dinosaurs or other creatures of the past.
Below are the provisions of the recently signed Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 that will increase living costs for all Americans:
The bill raises the Superfund excise tax rate on crude oil and imported petroleum from 9.7 cents/gallon to 16.4 cents/gallon.
The bill increases energy costs for consumers by permanently extending certain taxes paid by coal mining operations.
Royalties for offshore oil and gas drilling leases would increase from 12.5% to between 16.66% and 18.75% (page 632). For federal onshore oil and gas leases, the bill would increase the rate from 12.5% to between 16.66%.
The bill balloons fees applicable to onshore oil and gas energy production by quintupling the minimum bid amount (page 634), raising the rental rate 1,000% when a lease hits the eight-year mark.
The bill provides many incentives for electric vehicles (EV), which only the rich can currently afford. And most current electric vehicles don’t even qualify for this tax credit.[ii] (BTW, Ford raised the price of its EV pickup truck by $8,500 after the signing of this bill.[iii])
According to many sources, the bill adds 87,000 IRS agents, many of whom will be heavily armed and authorized to use lethal force. This legislation is more about controlling people than preserving the environment.
Is the “green” science behind this recently signed legislation valid?
No, no it’s not. Let’s look at just a few reasons why.
Volcanoes Emit Tons of CO2 Into the Atmosphere
(Note: I have taken much of the material below from a chapter that I wrote for the book, Lawless -- The End-Times War Against the Spirit of the Antichrist.[iv])
Gas, diesel fuel, natural gas, and coal have become the primary target of the climate alarmists. Politicians and celebrities tell us that CO2 emissions from our cars, SUVs, pickup trucks, farming machinery, and boats will cause global warming that will lead to disastrous consequences for the environment in the near future.
In July 2022, the World Economic Forum called for the end of private ownership of cars.
According to the WEF, critical metals, such as cobalt, lithium, and nickel -- all of which are used in "clean energy technologies" -- are in short supply. And while the WEF says recycling old tech that uses these metals could lessen the impact of shortages, it's simply not enough.[v]
The globalists want to eliminate all vehicles powered by fossil fuels; they claim that such human activity produces unsafe levels of CO2 in the atmosphere. Because of the scarcity of materials necessary for electric vehicles, they will have to dictate who owns them in the future. Remember, it’s all about control.
Geologists in large numbers dispute the assertion that human behavior impacts CO2 levels to any significant level, let alone one that’s dangerous to our environment. Geologist Dr. Viv Forbes wrote this about the relationship between the two:
Human activity can never control atmospheric CO2 or global temperature. Much bigger forces are at work—solar system cycles, earth orbital changes, volcanic activity (especially on the sea floor), El Nino episodes, declining magnetic field and magnetic pole reversals, variable cosmic rays and cloud cover, and absorption/expulsion of CO2 by the mighty oceans….
Moreover, the ice core records from Antarctica and Greenland show clearly that atmospheric temperature always rises before CO2 levels rise. So rising CO2 is the effect of rising temperature not the cause.[vi]
The one factor that Dr. Forbes brings out in the above quote, “volcanic activity,” is receiving increased attention in the climate-change debate. An active volcano can spew over 150,000 tons of CO2 daily into the atmosphere. That’s significant, considering the large number of volcanoes that are currently active in the world today with many more showing signs of springing to life.[vii]
One researcher, Dr. Terance Gerlach, sought to dispel this impact of volcanoes; he claimed that the amount of carbon dioxide put in the air by them is 100 to 150 times less than that of humans.
However, “Terrance Gerlach’s volcanic CO2 calculation was based on just 7 actively erupting land volcanoes and three actively erupting ocean floor hydrothermal vents (seafloor hot geysers).”[viii] His analysis falls far short of taking into account the forty-two volcanoes that are currently active in the world.
That’s not all Dr. Gerlach failed to consider. “Recent geological research by the University of Leeds and others proves that non-erupting volcanoes can emit massive amounts of CO2 into Earth’s atmosphere and oceans.”[ix] This becomes highly significant when one considers there are “1,500 land volcanoes on the earth and 900,000 seafloor volcanoes/hydrothermal vents.”[x] (Yes, I triple-checked those numbers; they are not typos!)
An erupting volcano spews tons of CO2 into the atmosphere.
At a minimum, CO2 emissions from volcanoes are likely at the same level as our use of fuel, natural gas, and coal, if not far, far above it.
Even with volcanic activity, carbon dioxide actually makes up a miniscule percentage of our air at 414.11 parts per million (or .04 percent of our atmosphere). This data comes from the March 5, 2020, reading at Mauna Loa Observatory, Hawaii.[xi] Yes, the yearly level of CO2 has risen at this location, but one must consider that the Hawaiian Islands are home to an active volcano that’s impacting CO2 levels in the area as it spews thousands of tons of CO2 into the air.

How can something that makes up such a tiny part of our atmosphere have such a devastating impact on the environment via rising temperatures?
Could something else impact global temperatures? Absolutely!
Prominent Scientists Believe the Sun Impacts Temperatures on Earth
Many renown scientists believe the activity of the sun causes fluctuations in earth’s temperatures rather than changes in CO2 levels. One such researcher, Dr. Roger Higgs DPhil (geology professor at Oxford, 1982-86), summarized the results of his study in January of 2020. He concluded that, based on “archaeological, astrophysical, geological and palaeoclimatological data covering the last 2,000 years,” that it’s “the Sun, not CO2, that controls global temperature.”[xii]
Another highly acclaimed scientist who says the sun is the chief cause of global warming is Nir Shaviv, an Israeli astrophysicist and chairman of Jerusalem’s Hebrew University’s physics department. “He says that his research, and that of colleagues, suggests that rising CO2 levels play only a minor role in earth’s climate compared to the influence of the sun and cosmic radiation.”[xiii] Shaviv concludes:
Global warming clearly is a problem, though not in the catastrophic terms of Al Gore’s movies or environmental alarmists. Climate change has existed forever and is unlikely to go away. But CO2 emissions don’t play the major role. Periodic solar activity does.[xiv] (Shaviv’s emphasis)
Former NASA Scientists Claim that Global Warming Is Not a Threat to Our Lives
The website, The Right Climate Stuff (therightclimatestuff.com), provides a thorough discussion of the issues regarding the impact of mankind and fossil fuels upon global warming. The researchers on this site describe themselves as “a group of retired and highly experienced engineers and scientists from the Apollo, Skylab, Space Shuttle and International Space Station eras” who “have volunteered our time and effort conducting an objective, independent assessment of the AGW [Anthropogenic Global Warming] alarm and reality of the actual threat.”
This group consists of esteemed engineers and scientists, the very ones that guided the American space program for decades. They represent a highly knowledgeable group that disputes the common narrative regarding fossil fuels.
On the “Conclusions and Recommendations” page of the website of these engineers and scientists, they list the following as one of the conclusions of their research:
“There is no convincing evidence that Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW) will produce catastrophic climate changes. AGW can only produce modest amounts of global warming that will likely be beneficial when the substantial benefits to crop production from more CO2 in the atmosphere are considered.”
Far from being a threat, this group of accomplished scientists and engineers concluded that global warming will not only be modest in the future, but actually benefit plant growth. It’s not a threat to our lives; but the proposals of elite are most certainly a threat to our livelihood.
Although climate alarmists tell us that human activity produces unsafe levels of CO2 in the atmosphere, there’s much disagreement in the science community. Not everyone agrees that we face a climate emergency.
Is the science behind the green energy provisions of the Inflation Reduction Act valid? Indeed, it is not. The goal is government control of our lives; it’s not at all about preserving the environment.
CO2 emissions from our use of gas, diesel fuel, and natural gas are not a cause for great alarm. They do not necessitate the draconian measures of the Inflation Reduction Act, which will actually increase the cost of living for all Americans.
What Does It All Mean?
At this point you might be wondering what this all means. What does it tell us?
First, it tells us just how close we are to the kingdom of the antichrist. The globalists’ agenda is not about saving the planet; it’s about control. The Inflation Reduction Act takes America a giant step closer to ceding its sovereignty to the coming New World Order.
Second, the dramatic increase of deception behind this legislation signifies the nearness of Jesus’ return for His church. We live at time that Scripture characterizes as the last days of human history as we know it.
Third, we can know that when Jesus reigns over the world, He will restore creation to its original glory. The elite powerbrokers of our day will see their true agenda rapidly deteriorate during the coming seven-year Tribulation.
When we return to earth with Jesus, we will enjoy a pristine environment far more wonderful than we can imagine.
