The Tragic Divorce of Our “Blessed Hope” from the Gospel

The Tragic Divorce of Our “Blessed Hope” from the Gospel

Somewhere in the past a tragic divorce occurred; someone decided that we must separate the return of Jesus for His church from the proclamation of the Gospel.

(Note: this is a repost from over a year ago that I am adding to go along with my post regarding the most ignored verse in the Bible.)

The Biblical Necessity of the Pretribulation Rapture

The Biblical Necessity of the Pretribulation Rapture

The events of 2020 have caused some dear saints to think that the tribulation has already started. Others may be wondering about the certainty of the pretribulation rapture as they watch violence, lawlessness, and violence overshadow our world.

My purpose in writing is to encourage believers to remain watchful as our world becomes a dark and foreboding place. Despite what we see, we can know Jesus is coming for us before the start of the seven-year tribulation.

Where is the Hope?

Where is the Hope?

According to the Center for Disease Control, the life expectancy in the United States has declined for the third year in a row. The last time this happened was a century ago, 1915-1918, when our country entered World War I and 675,000 Americans died because of the Spanish Flu.

This time it’s not war or a flu pandemic contributing to the decline in life expectancy, it’s hopelessness. The key contributors to the current decline are drug overdoses (at least 90,000 in 2018), suicides (45,000 in 2017), and alcohol abuse. Researchers Anne Case and Angus Deaton have dubbed these as "deaths of despair.”
